We raise awareness about mental illness and work to foster a sense of connection with events like Stomp Out the Stigma and our publication The Breather. We also work closely with the counseling center in bringing in speakers and we hope to expand our utility as a resource to students.

With an active and thriving department, we are able to connect current computer science students with alumni through networking events, meet and greets and panels to inspire the next generation of passionate computer scientists.

Food for Thought: We save the extra food from the meals on Shabbos (which legally cannot be re-served and is therefore simply thrown out) and keep it in a fridge. We return on Sunday and repackage the food into individual containers and hand it out around the heights to those in need.

Project Feed: The overall purpose of this group is to give back to the community through continuous acts of kindness and compassion and thereby grow in integrity and spiritually by bringing Torah ideals into everyday life. This will be done through practical implementation of compassion and kindness, recognizing the value and dignity of each individual and that each person is deserving of basic life necessities, and continuously giving back to the community through volunteering and events.

Mission
Games are about finding the joy in life and in mundane things. They can provide a distraction from reality, but they can also enhance our appreciation for living. The science behind making games has been developing for thousands of years. It is an art form filled with psychology, math, human expression, programming, iteration, sound design and music. Vast amounts of effort go into creating the games we love, and to create a game yourself requires commitment, collaboration, and innovation of the highest degree. We hope that those who join the club will be able to learn about the game creation process and potentially discover their potential to create their own game.
However, games would not have a market to exist in if not for those passionate enough to play and discuss them. Our club also fosters open discussion about the design of we like and dislike, even from those who have no interest in making games of their own. Through collaboration, education, and innovation, we strive to create a place at YU for game developers, designers, and enjoyers to partake in one of the oldest and most influential activities in history, play.

Appreciation Group: To show appreciation for the security, maintenance and cafeteria staff for all they do!

Belonging B'Yachad: Belonging B'Yachad's mission is to spread a message of inclusion. This will be done through educational events teaching students about disability awareness and sensitivities, and by welcoming individuals with disabilities into our campus for inclusive social events. Through this students at YU will learn how to be more inclusive and recognize that each person has something special to offer to the world.

Bikur Cholim Group: Our mission is to work alongside Project Sunshine in addition to other hospital volunteer organizations to make people's stay at hospitals more comfortable. Through running events such as packing toys to make children's stay less stressful and overall being a support figure for patients and their family.

Chessed Starts at Stern: Our mission is to create community on our campus through little acts of chessed. We hope to cultivate relationships and habits that will begin in Stern and carry on afterwards.

Bais Yaakov Chevra: The mission of this student organization is to give those students with a Bais Yaakov grade education an opportunity to engage with like-minded students in meaningful discussion about Jewish philosophy and Halachic conversations.

Chabad Student Organization: Chabad Student Organization is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for students at Yeshiva University to promote spiritual growth, in-depth learning, community engagement, and the deepening of Jewish identity. We aim to inspire students to embrace their heritage, practice acts of kindness, and contribute positively to the broader world, all while cultivating meaningful connections within the YU community.

Chayenu Chevra: The system of learning Chitas ensures that daily, Jews ground themselves in their connection to Hashem through Torah by learning the daily Aliyah from the weekly Torah portion, through Tefillah by reciting the daily portion of Tehillim, and through better understanding Neshamos by learning Tanya. And the bigger, the better - Chayenu is a weekly learning booklet that includes these portions in an accessible, bilingual Hebrew-English format with additional enrichment sections such as daily Parsha insights, Rambam, and Halacha from Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. For people who are looking for a daily dose of Torah, we want to enable their learning through resources and community chavrutot.

START Science: START Science will be active primarily on Wilf Campus, for housing supplies and the end of year event, with classes being held at the local public schools. Beren students are included, and have historically commuted to the heights to participate as volunteers and leaders.

Tutoring Solutions: To tutor elementary school students at a local public school. We hope to connect with students and and local community and help students learn math more effectively.
