To promote mental wellbeing for students on campus. We raise awareness about mental illness and work to foster a sense of connection with events like Stomp Out the Stigma and our publication The Breather. We also work closely with the counseling center in bringing in speakers and we hope to expand our utility as a resource to students.

Computer Science Group: Our goal is to connect, inspire, and grow the computer science community here at Stern College for Women. With an active and thriving department, we are able to connect current computer science students with alumni through networking events, meet and greets and panels to inspire the next generation of passionate computer scientists.

Food for Thought: We save the extra food from the meals on Shabbos (which legally cannot be re-served and is therefore simply thrown out) and keep it in a fridge. We return on Sunday and repackage the food into individual containers and hand it out around the heights to those in need.

Project Feed: The overall purpose of this group is to give back to the community through continuous acts of kindness and compassion and thereby grow in integrity and spiritually by bringing Torah ideals into everyday life. This will be done through practical implementation of compassion and kindness, recognizing the value and dignity of each individual and that each person is deserving of basic life necessities, and continuously giving back to the community through volunteering and events.

Mission
Games are about finding the joy in life and in mundane things. They can provide a distraction from reality, but they can also enhance our appreciation for living. The science behind making games has been developing for thousands of years. It is an art form filled with psychology, math, human expression, programming, iteration, sound design and music. Vast amounts of effort go into creating the games we love, and to create a game yourself requires commitment, collaboration, and innovation of the highest degree. We hope that those who join the club will be able to learn about the game creation process and potentially discover their potential to create their own game.
However, games would not have a market to exist in if not for those passionate enough to play and discuss them. Our club also fosters open discussion about the design of we like and dislike, even from those who have no interest in making games of their own. Through collaboration, education, and innovation, we strive to create a place at YU for game developers, designers, and enjoyers to partake in one of the oldest and most influential activities in history, play.

Appreciation Group: To show appreciation for the security, maintenance and cafeteria staff for all they do!

Belonging B'Yachad: Belonging B'Yachad's mission is to spread a message of inclusion. This will be done through educational events teaching students about disability awareness and sensitivities, and by welcoming individuals with disabilities into our campus for inclusive social events. Through this students at YU will learn how to be more inclusive and recognize that each person has something special to offer to the world.

Bikur Cholim Group: Our mission is to work alongside Project Sunshine in addition to other hospital volunteer organizations to make people's stay at hospitals more comfortable. Through running events such as packing toys to make children's stay less stressful and overall being a support figure for patients and their family.

Chessed Starts at Stern: Our mission is to create community on our campus through little acts of chessed. We hope to cultivate relationships and habits that will begin in Stern and carry on afterwards.

Work of Heart: Our mission is to use art as a bridge between communities through meaningful volunteer work and creative outreach. By bringing YU students into a local public school in Washington Heights several times each semester to run a morning pre-class art program for elementary school students (where we provide painting supplies), we create a space where students can have a creative outlet to express themselves freely while building meaningful connections with us. Each week, we also introduce a different famous artwork as inspiration, allowing the children to engage with cultural history and expand their artistic knowledge in a fun and accessible way.
