About Us

Founded in 2005, The Yeshiva University Medical Ethics Society (MES) is a student-run organization that promotes the education and awareness of Jewish medical ethics on campus. Events feature prominent speakers who engage the student body, faculty, and alumni in discussing topics such as biotechnology, gene-editing, and end-of-life care within a Torah context. At its core, the MES goal is to provide tomorrow’s Jewish healthcare professionals and pioneers of scientific innovation with a platform to expose, immerse, and discuss medical ethics and halacha in order to better prepare them for what their futures hold.
