About Us
To make people more aware of the ever-changing weather and how it affects us, the climate, and what Brachas we make during certain weather events (ex: Rainbows), and why we make them. Also, to give personalized weather forecasts for those in YU, and help inspire people to be more observant of the weather. First stated as a simple WhatsApp chat with weekly weather updates from Abie Seif, it now has expanded to over 100 members. Not only does this club already have a functioning club board (government), but the club is unique because (to my knowledge) it’s the first YU club that is doing things democratically. That means referendums on certain decisions and the club board members were elected instead of being selected by the president. During board meetings, the board members vote on agendas which can be anything, ex: from certain club events, to agendas that will improve efficiency of how quickly certain tasks are done.
